This is such a great idea! I don't know if they did a contest for Bronze and the others, but they're doing this for Green Dragon Codex.

1) Revise Section 3 of TT from Carlee's notes
2)Revise Section 3 of TT from Marjory's notes
3)Add falcons to the hunt and Lord Michael's interests
4) Work on Dragon Codex proposals
I would add more, but I think that's quite enough for today! I was feeling very sick yesterday, so don't want to overdo it.
ETA: Revision of Section 3 done! Whoohoo!

The bad news is I went into a bookstore for the first time since Red Dragon Codex's release only to find it wasn't there. Bah. The good news is I stumbled across this article.
This week has been nuts with work. Hopefully next week I can get into both thesis revisions and reviews.

Red Dragon Codex, the first book in the Practical Guide to Dragon adventures, from R.D. Henham and Rebecca Shelley debuts in a few days (will link later, Mirrorstone's site seems to be down). I did not expect to be as excited as I am. Even though I didn't write this one, I feel very giddy and eager to see how it does. I'm also working on a website for R.D. Henham, nothing fancy, just something for people to find when they go looking for the author of these new books.

When I posted a comment (more of a SQUEE), she asked if I knew what my cover looked like. I knew that the first in the series is out and mine will look like it (design's the same, and I believe we have the same artist), so I went to Amazon and did a search for R.D. Henham to find it. Guess what popped up and is now available for pre-order!
This is somewhat surreal. One of my friends pointed out that, theoretically, someone could have already ordered this and, right now, a paper copy doesn't even EXIST as I haven't printed out the latest version! I guess I ought to finish it, huh?

A key finally popped out of my loyal laptop. And it's the R. Sigh. Take a look at my name, and guess how many Rs I typically type. Heck, there's one in my alter-ego's name too. And in the title of my book. And the series. Eeeks. Hopefully some superglue can fix this up.
In other news, I finally read the first couple chapters of Red Dragon Codex last night. And I love it so far! Whew. :) I was worried that I wouldn't be able to read it at all (too much pressure!) but so far so good.

Finally home. Not much time to post, though, as today I'm trying to whip up a couple proposals for more Dragon Codices. I thought I only had two, already sent one that I wrote down before school started, but now I have a couple more ideas bouncing around in my head. What the heck, I'll send them in; that way if one doesn't cut it, maybe the other will. Besides, this is fun. I think I like the challenge of creating a story that isn't just "so and so go in search of the great artifact of such and such and on the way they encounter various monsters that they must fight." I always thought of myself as a plot-driven writer (and certainly seemed to be this summer), but I find that I like taking the DL world and finding ways to put a person's inner struggle into the plot, rather than just running around hacking with swords or casting spells. The best of the DL books had that anyway, so I'm just trying to do the original books justice.
Back to the proposals. And no, I won't tell you what they are. :)
