Bio
My first book, "Bronze Dragon Codex" came out June 10, 2008 from Mirrorstone. Special thanks to slwhitman for helping this fantasy become reality and to R.D. Henham, for allowing this lowly scribe to aid in "The Practical Guide to Dragons Adventures" project. For more information on the elusive R.D., please check out www.rdhenham.com!

My second book, "Young Wizards Handbook: How to Trap a Zombie, Track a Vampire, and Other Hands-On Activities for Monster Hunters" will be out September 14, 2010, from Mirrorstone!

"Bronze Dragon Codex" was selected as a Flamingnet top pick!

Now, about me. I am a lover of Children's fantasy. Reading it, writing it, critiquing it, and studying it are all major interests of mine. Here you'll find my thoughts on all of these topics, and a few others.

I finished my MA in Children's Literature in 2005 and MFA in 2009. While my main interest is in creative writing, I'm also very interested in Children's Literature scholarship. I'm the current head of the Children's and Young Adult division of the International Association of the Fantastic in the Arts (www.iafa.org).

I support my school and writing addiction by working as an electrical engineer. When I'm not reading, writing, or engineering, I craft compulsively, dream drastically, and try to stall the tide of books always threatening to flood my basement. My husband helps me with the latter by building an amazing library. My retired racing greyhound Lucy helps with the writing by planting herself behind my chair so I can't get up when working.

I am also interested in my family genealogy. If you are any relation to the Rotrucks/Rothrocks, Robys, Goldizens, Hardys, Beans, or Highs of West Virginia, please drop me a line. I'm trying to fill in the gaps in my family tree.
