IAFA
If you'd be interested in attending ICFA in 2010 (in Orlando, Florida) as a visiting writer, please contact me (either email arotruck AT gmail or comment below). Compensation for attending varies and it is competitive, but I'd love to get some more readings from children's writers. I'm not making the final decision, alas, but I will pass names and contact info of people who are interested on to the appropriate people and hopefully we can get a few more children's writers there next year.

Also, if you know of an author who might be interested in attending or just have a wishlist, let me know too!

I was hoping I'd hear from you, I think you'd be perfect for the conference! I'm not making the final decision, unfortunately, but I'll pass your name and info on to the person who handles this, and she'll be emailing people later in the summer. I don't know if they need bios & bibliographies, but when you get a chance, can you send that to me? I figure it can't hurt.

ICFA
I saw the announcement from Stacy on Facebook. I have one YA fantasy out right now: My Fair Godmother. (And a whole bunch that aren't fantasies, but I will be writing more fantasies because, honestly, they're a lot of fun.) I'm not sure if I'm the type of author you're looking for since I only have one fantasy out, but I'd be interested.

Re: ICFA
I'm not sure what exact criteria they use to determine the visiting writers, but certainly not all of the authors have tons of books out. Send me your info and I'll pass it along.

Can I send you my info? I'm here via Stacy. (And for what it's worth, Janette would be a great writer to have attend).

Annette Curtis Klause, author of Silver Kiss, is a librarian in Maryland, and according to the bio, "enjoys attending SF conventions"and collects first editions of SF/F/H
I don't know her, but I did enjoy the book very much, and she might be an interesting guest.

OH! Hadn't thought of her. I've actually met her a couple times at local author events, lovely woman (always wears the best bat earrings) and great writer (Have you read "Blood and Chocolate"? Another good one). I'll be sure to email her (I've been compiling a wishlist, so more suggestions welcome).
